Raphaële Medan Verdier studied the chemistry of aromas and perfumes for two years before transferring to the Universite de Bordeaux II where she earned the national diploma of oenology. She spent 10 years working as a consultant in winemaking for négociants and several “chateaux” including Haut-Brion, Cheval Blanc, J.P. Moueix, André Quancard, and Euralis Vigne. During that experience, her focus was always on the interaction of oak and wine. That interest led Raphaële to her current role as a “specialist” of oak and oenology for Tonnellerie Radoux. She will also be at the Radoux booth at the Unified Sympoisum for drop-in consultation.
